I used Polyaquol VO4 in this product to demonstrate how small changes can change the consistency of the final product.

AQUAXYL (INCI: Xylitylglucoside (and) Anhydroxylitol (and) Xylitol)

However, you can use a different active depending on the type of problem you want your product to solve. For example
Soothing: Panthenol, Colloidal Oatmeal, a-Bisabolol, DEFENSIL, Allantoin USP, Chamomile/Calendula Extract
Moisturizing: Hyaluronic Acid, Fucocert, Age 22, Hydrolyzed Protein, Urea, Silk Aminoacids
Repairing: Ceramides, Coenzyme Q10
You can also use a different type of oil and fragrance oil.

Deep Moisturizing Macadamia Hand &Body Lotion with Aquaxyl
A 3.00% Glycerin
A 1.00% Euxyl PE 9010
B 70.00% Distilled water
B 3.00% AQUAXYL
C 19.00% Macadamia Nut Oil
C 3.00% PolyAquol™ VO4
C 1.00% Blue Raspberry Slushie Fragrance Oil
INSTRUCTIONS:
Combine the A phase and then add the B phase (water).
In a separate beaker, combine the C phase.
Heat AB and C to 25C and then slowly pour in AB into the C beaker. Use a dropper to gradually add water. Stir in between each addition.
Stick blend for about 1-2 minutes.
Measure the pH and adjust if needed.
Package and enjoy
I really love this lotion. It is very light but still super moisturizing and hydrating. And you can see that using 3% of Polyaquol VO4 even without thickeners creates way thicker emulsions than 2% Polyaquol VO4 with 0.2% Xanthan Gum.
