Multi-Peptide Rejuvenating Booster. Polyaquol VO4 Series

peptide serumn tutorial recipe formulation botox alternative

Welcome to this blog post on the transformative power of peptides and the remarkable Polyaquol VO4 series. In this article, I will guide you through a simple yet effective recipe for creating a peptide serum using the potent combination of Snap-8, SYN-AKE, SYN-COLL, and SYN®-TC. By harnessing the rejuvenating properties of these peptides and the innovative Polyaquol VO4 technology, you can unlock the secret to youthful and radiant skin.

Peptides have revolutionized the skincare industry with their ability to address various signs of aging, including fine lines, wrinkles, and loss of elasticity. Each peptide in this recipe plays a unique role in promoting skin health and vitality, working synergistically to deliver exceptional results.

In the last posts, I shared two pretty basic formulations with Polyaquol VO4.
Today, just to show you, how easy it is to convert a simple formulation into luxurious silky goodness, full of peptides and ceramides.

I must confess, I did go a little bit overboard with the actives. I have so many of these luxurious, expensive ingredients that are running out of date.

You don't have to use as many actives as I did.

1-3 good, high-quality, compatible actives are more than enough for a beautiful serum.

If you're new here and you don't know anything about Polyaquol VO4 then take a look at these posts:

Let's take a quick overview of the actives I used in the Multi-Peptide Rejuvenating Booster

You can use this product as an undereye cream or anti-wrinkle concentrate.
I usually apply it to my forehead, under eye lines, between the eyebrows, and around my mouth.

The time it takes to see the first wrinkle improvements when using a serum with these ingredients can vary from person to person. It depends on factors such as individual skin conditions, the severity of wrinkles, overall skincare routine, and consistency of product usage.

Generally, skincare products can take several weeks to show noticeable results. It may take around 4 to 8 weeks of consistent use to see initial improvements in the appearance of wrinkles. However, it's important to note that long-term use is recommended for sustained benefits.

Additionally, everyone's skin is unique, and individual responses to skincare ingredients can vary. Some individuals may experience faster results, while others may take longer to notice visible improvements. Patience and consistency are key when using skincare products to address wrinkles.

It's worth mentioning that using a combination of targeted ingredients, like the ones I mentioned, along with a comprehensive skincare routine that includes proper cleansing, moisturizing, and sun protection, can contribute to more effective results in reducing the appearance of wrinkles.

ACTIVES

  1. SNAP-8 (INCI: Acetyl Octapeptide-3): SNAP-8 is a peptide ingredient with anti-aging properties. It functions by inhibiting neurotransmitter release, similar to Botox, reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Recommended usage rate: 3-10%. pH requirements: Works well in a broad pH range of 3-8.

  2. SK-influx V Ceramide Complex (INCI: Ceramide NP, Ceramide AP, Ceramide EOP, Cholesterol, Phytosphingosine, Sodium Lauroyl Lactylate, Carbomer, Xanthan Gum): SK-influx V Ceramide Complex is a blend of ceramides, cholesterol, and other components. It strengthens the skin barrier, improving hydration and protecting against environmental stressors. Recommended usage rate: 1-5%. pH requirements: Works best in the pH range of 5-7.

  3. SYN®-AKE (INCI: Dipeptide Diaminobutyroyl Benzylamide Diacetate): SYN®-AKE is a synthetic peptide inspired by snake venom. It temporarily inhibits muscle contractions, reducing the appearance of expression lines and wrinkles. Recommended usage rate: 2-5%. pH requirements: Works within a pH range of 4-8.

  4. SYN-COLL (INCI: Palmitoyl Tripeptide-5): SYN-COLL is a peptide that stimulates collagen synthesis, improving skin elasticity and firmness. Recommended usage rate: 2-3%. pH requirements: Works optimally in the pH range of 5-7.

  5. SYN®-TC (INCI: Palmitoyl Dipeptide-5 Diaminobutyroyl Hydroxythreonine, Palmitoyl Dipeptide-6 Diaminohydroxybutyrate): SYN®-TC is a peptide complex targeting multiple signs of aging. It helps reduce wrinkles, improve skin firmness, and enhance texture. Recommended usage rate: 2-5%. pH requirements: Works well within a pH range of 4-7.

Please note that the recommended usage rates and pH requirements may vary depending on specific product formulations and manufacturer guidelines. It's always advisable to refer to the supplier's instructions as your formulation guide.

I wanted to make a super light serum with an exceptional skin feel and the way to achieve it is

1. choose an emulsifier that has good sensory properties

2. limit the input of oils and use emollients or light, non-greasy esters with good spreading properties and fast absorption - Isoamyl laurate, Caprylyl Caprylate/Caprate
